Get to Know Me
Introduction
For 21 years, I have worked on the front lines of clinical trials for new drugs, interacting with many patients. During this time, I experienced events that made me keenly aware of the importance of daily nutrition.
Encounters with Patients
Particularly memorable were patients receiving anticancer drug therapy in the hematology department.
Side effects caused their phosphorus (P) levels to drop, sometimes requiring platelet transfusions or intravenous phosphorus supplementation. These lengthy treatments were extremely difficult for the patients.
Support Through Diet
In such circumstances, I wondered, “Could we supplement phosphorus through diet?” and sought methods unaffected by the disease or medications.
While not scientifically established, the fact that we could actually avoid infusions and received words of gratitude from the patient remains deeply etched in my memory.
The Importance of Daily Diet
This experience made me truly appreciate the importance of diet. Daily meals form the foundation supporting health and possess the power to prevent illness.
My Wish
To nurture health through daily meals, especially before illness strikes.
I wish to be someone who can provide nutritional support for that purpose.
